Sunny June Lifestyle Photoshoot with Marlena in Ann Arbor
What an incredible day for photos in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I met up with Marlena for a personal branding and lifestyle session on a bright June afternoon that felt like the middle of summer. The temperature climbed into the 90s but the golden sunlight made every image glow.
For her first look Marlena embraced a 90’s gamer girl vibe with a hot pink tank and classic jean shorts. We headed to a downtown graffiti covered area, full of bold color and texture. The vibrant murals and urban energy matched her playful style perfectly and gave the images a fun edgy feel.
Then came the showstopper. Marlena changed into a dark orange flowing ball gown with a long dramatic train and we moved to a park filled with lush greenery. The contrast of the rich orange against the soft summer foliage was breathtaking. Friendly bystanders even offered to help hold the train so we could capture the sweeping motion of the fabric.
Later we ventured onto a wooden bridge overlooking the lake. As we worked people boating below shouted compliments about her gown adding a fun unexpected soundtrack to the session. Those spontaneous moments are exactly why I love lifestyle photography because real reactions and genuine joy always shine through.
